Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta

Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, Albuquerque, New Mexico

I have no interest in riding in a hot air balloon, but they are fun to look at. The annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is a ten day event and is the world's largest balloon fiesta. Surprisingly, it is also considered the world's most photographed event, although, I think I would take more pictures at the one in Ferrerra, Italy... Europe's biggest balloon fiesta.

Toledo, Spain

Tagus River in Toledo, Spain
As Pacha says in The Emperor's New Groove, "When the sun hits it just right... those mountains just sing." - or something like that.

Shikoku Pilgrimage

Banryutei rock garden, Kongobuji Temple, Mount Kōya, Wakayama, Japan

This temple is the traditional starting and ending point of the Shikoku Pilgrimage, a path visiting 88 Shingon temples in the Wakayama prefecture in Japan. The hike is suppose to take between 30 to 60 days, much better than my local hike of legend, the Appalachian Trail which takes somewher around 6 months. Plus, you get to see a bunch of old Japanese temples, with real live monks in them.

Dunnotar Castle

Dunnotar Castle, Stonehaven, Scotland

This place looks crazy. Look at the cave entrance at the bottom of the rocky cliff. To tell you the truth, I think this place would give me the hibbity-jibbities and I'd run screaming within ten minutes of getting there.

Antelope Canyon

Antelope Canyon, Navajo Reservation near Page, Arizona

My Dad has been trying to go to the southwest for a couple of years, but my Mom has other ideas. With places like this, I can understand the desire.
