This is another one from the list of creepiest places. For me it would make the list of intriguing places... and well, places I want to go.

Cascata delle Marmore
Cascata delle Marmore (Marmore's Falls), Marmore, Italy
It was created by the ancient Romans, which is cool enough in and of itself. But those crazy Italians divert the water for part of the day, so if you go to the falls around lunchtime you can watch them go from a trickle to what is pictured above. That's probably a pretty poor summary.

Burj Al Arab
Burj Al Arab hotel, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Dubai seems like a pretty crazy town. I heard about this building before I heard about their big one, or their big mall, or their big indoor ski slopes, or their massive man-made beachfront, or their man-made islands in the shape of palm trees or of the world. And at a mere $1000 a night for the cheap rooms, I figure it's the best place to stay when you're seeing everything else.

Ray LaMontagne Concert
Ray LaMontagne performs at Abbey Road Studios. Following the links to hear his entire concert at the 9:30 Club here in DC. The show sold out before I got tickets. NPR is great for broadcasting it but I would have loved to have been there.

Valencia, Spain
L'Hemisfèric, Valencia Spain.
This is part of the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències, the City of Arts and Sciences, which is a bunch of buildings with this style. L'Hemisfèric houses an IMAX theater, a planetarium, and a laserium, which I think is a fancy word for a laser show.
